18th Aug'06
hmmm... 2 suprises and 1 embarrassment.... This of cos refers to last night...
It was birthday eve for Jeslyn... so... coincidently i had to go for work compulsory haha... could take day off though... but just happen that there's some stuff i need to handle to personally... So... the initial plan to spend the night with her was foiled....
Got home at about 7pm++ which was quite late already... then decide to give her a suprise... Thanks to dad whom came home early... so borrowed his car and start shopping... pop over to the friendly neighbourhood TM and CS hoping to get the wallet i previously eyed on for her... a white "ELLE" long wallet... saw this nice wallet during a shopping trip i had last thurs with buddy... and the WALLET SHOP so happen to be under renovation... -.- what a letdown... Then decided to head down Jurong Point... so... Tampines to Boon Lay~!!!
Jurong Point....
Kind of in a rush so... didn't manage to catch the wallet shop just beside the escalator... so idiot lor... wheeze thru the crowd from 1st to 3rd floor then to 2nd and back to 1st... only to find that WALLET SHOP is so near yet so far.... -.- and the best part is... the nice nice wallet is SOLD OUT.... So in the end i pick another nice nice wallet to replace... ok.. so thats it for the Present... headed down to B1... found a decent cake shop and... grab a cake Oreo flavoured... went to the opposite side and realise i was in the florist which i once bought flowers from... that was last Valentine's the much more co-incident part is... last time the flowers are for her too~ so... bought a boquet of six... 6 pink roses... representing "I wanna be yours" left Jurong point...
Her home...
drive from Jurong Point to her house was just stone's throw away so reached her void deck in no time... Reached... so i decided to phone her... no answer... tried 2nd time... no answer... Thats strange i thought... cos she did mention that she ain't going out... so... phone her house... hahaa... cos she might have left phone to silent...
Suprise No.1
Think her mum answered... "Jeslyn's not in" I was like "arh?" but what i only said was" oh its ok thank you..." She wasn't at home??? aiyo... cake's melting... so... from 9++ i waited till 10++
the last message i sent was... "Hi... you free? Give me a call k?" about 20mins she replied.. "Oh ok... I'll phone you when i get home... reaching home soon" so... i decided to step out of the car... and wait... and 10 mins later...
Suprise No.2
She appeared in front of me... with a guy walking next to her... i was like "ARH??!!!"(jaw dropped) but of cos... i stayed calm... i smiled... she explain.. "That was my bro" then i phew~ but still remain calm... so she asked what i was doing there... and i replied... come i got something for you... i walk over to the car passenger seat... took out the cake... she was like "Oh.. thank you" then... the present came along... she was like "har? *giggles* Oh ho ho... Thank you thank you..." then finally the flowers... she was like "hahaa... *giggles* okok" then there was a moment of silence... so i said "Erm... haaha.. hmm... Happy Birthday... so.. erm... you wanna cut the cake?"
she replied "erm... hehe... so sorry... i'm still quite full now... hmm... how about i cut the cake then you eat? hahaa"
of cos i said "hmm... ok ar... lets find a place to sit k?"
so we started scouting for empty seats at void deck... At this moment... she saw her relatives... 2 young "Xiao Gua"(she calls them xiao gua) of cos the 2 also saw us... and they were like "WOW" or at least thats what appears like in their expressions... I smiled... haa... think impression has been made... haha... following that of cos we found a place to settle down... kind of awkward though... she cut the cake... i had a piece... so she asked "Now what?"
Embarrassment
I stunned... oops... didn't plan for the 2nd half... which i thought was already quite late... so.. left it out... "Hmm... we could maybe sit down and chat or you prefer to go for a spin in the car?" she then said "Hmmm... ok... but i have to put all these( refering to her stuffs and the presents) at home 1st... so how about you wait for me in your car while i get these things up?"
I replied " Ok... "
Panick sets in... where to go????!!!! cos i'm still not familiar with Jurong area... so we drive around.... then i suggested... how about midnight show? she was like.. ok lor... headed down to Jurong point once again... but only to find that GV has close for the day... disappointment... Then i drove around Jurong area... she suggested... "how about west coast??" i was like.. " Great~!!! how do we go from here?" she replied "dunno? hahaa no very well verse in road directions" i was like "Oh... ... ... ... ... ok..." And so... embarrassed and nowhere to go... i apologised" Hey erm... sorry about that... how about next time then we go? when i'm more familiar with the area... I send you home 1st?"
she replied " hahaa... its ok lah... this is not your area so its natural you are not familiar..."

I send her home and headed home...
Moral of story...
1. Check out if gal is really at home 1st before executing and suprise plan...
2. Check out the road map!!!! really embarrassing if you dun really know the place well...
3. Dun go home so late hahaa.. late driving is really very tiring...
